Never complain, Never explain -Kate Moss

Plato’s Detrimental Art and Goodlifeeeee.

A good life is “Not an egoistic, amoral enjoyment of power and sensual satisfaction”. “Moderate life of reason and justice”  -Plato

Plato’s definition of  said that sensual satisfaction and enjoyment of power is not the a meaning of a Good life. I am definitely agreeing on what he said, because we must have a balanced life in order to attain contentment, living in a life full of power and self satisfaction may sound good but if we actually think about it, We can have all the money in the world but somehow we would still feel empty, maybe due to lack of friends, or lack of reason for living. If we live a life with overflowing power, I am sure that we would crave for more and it will go on and on and on until we finally fail. Balance of life and Contentment is the only way to a good life. We should all be thankful with what we have. :)

DETRIMENTAL[de-truh-men-tl]  –(adjective

 causing detriment; damaging; harmful.

Plato said that art could indeed influence the development of one’s moral character. Also he thought that we can learn from art and that it is detrimental to one’s character.

I am partly agreeing with what Plato said that art is detrimental to one’s character. In the media industry, Film is considered as art, Art that showcases writing, directing etc. There are a lot of film fanatics in the world especially in the Philippines. It gives entertainment and education to its viewers, but sometimes there are films that show gore, violence, and disrespect to self and others. These characteristics may be picked up and practiced by its viewers and may cause harm. But, it is still the viewers choice to do it or set to mind that we should not copy anything similar to it. Art may cause harm to people, but it would still depend on the people’s mindset.
